It’s the first game of the season. It looked like it… -Hammon
Following her steamy ad campaign with Skims, we’re getting even more Kelsey Plum and we are not mad about it.

The WNBA star, who gained attention for her iconic cigar photos after winning consecutive championships with the Las Vegas Aces, is now wearing shoes inspired by cigars from Under Armour during this season. And in addition to that, Plum will be releasing her own line of cigars this summer (thankfully not another celebrity tequila).
And this boys and girls, is how you maximize your time and brand.

Plum sported the “All the Smoke” player edition basketball shoes, inspired by her love for cigars, as the Aces kicked off their season with an 80-89 win against the Phoenix Mercury at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas on Tuesday.

As far as Kelsey Plum’s stats go, she scored 19 points last night and despite the win, it was still a little too close for comfort according to Aces coach, Becky Hammon. “It’s the first game of the season. It looked like it,” Hammon said after the game. “It’ll be all right, and we’ll smooth some things out.”

Exposure Increasing

Before the game, the team was presented with their championship rings, and their banner was revealed and raised. During the first timeout, the record-breaking crowd of 10,419 fans joined in singing “We are the Champions.” This was the largest attendance for a game at Michelob Ultra Arena since its opening.
Notable figures such as Aces minority owner and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady, WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert, and Las Vegas Raiders coach Antonio Pierce were seen sitting courtside. Wilson shared that Brady gave a pre-game pep talk to the team, advising them to focus on playing their best instead of defending their banner. “Go and do what you’ve been doing and execute that,” he told them.

WNBA games are currently experiencing high attendance rates and the league is becoming increasingly popular. Kelsey Plum is undoubtedly one of the most iconic players in the league, so it’s safe to say that her cigar brand will be successful, especially in Vegas where she is beloved and cigar smoking is a popular pastime.

Adding Fuel to the Fire
Despite announcing her divorce from Darren Waller earlier this year, Plum continues to thrive and succeed. She crushed her opening game, looked sexy as hell doing it, and is making money moves off the court too.

In an upcoming game against Indiana Fever, all eyes will be on Plum as she faces off against promising rookie Caitlyn Clark, who had a rocky start to her debut. Though many may be fans of Clark, there’s no denying that the Aces hold a special place in our hearts. Go Aces!
