WWE Has Their Next Brock Lesnar, But A’ja Wilson Is Busy Dominating the Court and Sneaker Game
Las Vegas Aces superstar A’ja Wilson is stepping into new territory off the basketball court with her very own signature shoe. Nike has announced that Wilson will be getting her Calm Slide in a bright pink colorway, set to drop next summer. While fans eagerly await the release, Wilson is keeping her focus on the 2024 Paris Olympics, representing Team USA on the global stage.
Despite the excitement, Wilson wasn’t thrilled when details of her slide leaked early. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), she playfully called out the culprit: “Ok ok who’s the mole???? 😵💫🫣”—showing that even superstars can’t escape the sneaker-world spoilers.
Making Waves On and Off the Court
Wilson’s Olympic journey has been nothing short of spectacular. She’s tied with teammate Breanna Stewart as the third-leading scorer in the tournament, averaging 20.3 points per game and shooting 56.8% from the field with 78.6% from the free-throw line. Her 61 points have helped Team USA remain undefeated in the group stage, maintaining their pursuit of an eighth straight gold medal.

But Wilson isn’t just dominating in stats. Off the court, she’s embracing the Olympic experience and celebrating basketball culture. She shared a brunch with Breanna Stewart and other teammates before cheering on the women’s 3×3 basketball team. Later, she joined the festivities for USA Basketball’s 50th anniversary, mingling with legends like LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Dwyane Wade, and even Tom Brady.
The Aces star also enjoyed some star-studded entertainment, hyping up Snoop Dogg during his presentation and later being spotted sitting courtside next to him during Team USA men’s match against Brazil. Fans couldn’t miss the big smiles as Wilson and Snoop cheered on the team to victory.

With the Olympic Games in full swing, a signature slide on the horizon, and her basketball legacy continuing to grow, A’ja Wilson proves she’s a force both on the hardwood and in pop culture.
