A rare moment of televised self-sabotage unfolded in Congress this week when far-left Representative Jasmine Crockett attempted to score a political hit against EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin—only to publicly humiliate herself by confusing a local donor with a notorious deceased felon. The blunder has instantly gone viral, turning Crockett into a national punchline for a staggering lack of due diligence.

The incident occurred during a highly anticipated meeting where Crockett boasted that “her team” had “dug up the evidence” linking Zeldin to the late sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein. She then read a list of names, dramatically citing donations to various Republican campaigns: “Mitt Romney, NRCC, Lee Zeldin, George Bush, WinRed, McCain-Palin, Rick Lazio.”
The truth, however, exposed her profound error: the donor in question was a doctor named Jeffrey Epstein, a completely legitimate and unrelated individual—a fact that any serious staffer could have verified with minutes of simple research.

Lee Zeldin, a former Congressman and New York gubernatorial candidate, wasted no time in delivering a brutal, public counter-attack on X (formerly Twitter). Zeldin, now EPA Administrator under President Trump, fired back with a devastating all-caps retort: “Yes, Crockett. A doctor named Jeffrey Epstein (a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PERSON from that Jeffrey Epstein) once donated to my campaign. NOT – RELATED – AT – ALL, YOU GENIUS!!!”

Zeldin further amplified the ridicule by reposting the video of Crockett fumbling the list, sparking widespread mockery and debate over her competence. Fox News later confirmed that Zeldin had never received any funds from the deceased sex offender, only from the doctor with the same common name. Crockett’s failure to grasp this basic fact before launching a televised attack is being cited by critics as proof of a politically motivated campaign prioritizing sensationalism over accuracy.
