The segment previewed a planned LA Sparks training facility in El Segundo, expected to open in 2027. The facility was described as the WNBA’s first indoor-outdoor player sanctuary, designed to support athlete performance, recovery and well-being year-round.
Planned features listed in the segment include an outdoor spa pool for recovery and rehab, flexible wellness spaces for yoga and meditation, hydrotherapy and spa suites, two WNBA regulation basketball courts, a circular locker room, a state-of-the-art weight room and training areas, and fully retractable doors that blend indoor and outdoor spaces.
The announcement was a preview and did not include planning approvals, funding details or a developer’s name.
