If you’re planning on heading to Comerica Park to watch the Detroit Tigers this spring, you might want to pack some extra sunscreen.
The Tigers released the start times for all 81 of their home games in 2026 on Tuesday, Nov. 4, and the schedule includes a home-opening series against the St. Louis Cardinals from April 3-5 that will all have first pitches at 1:10 or 1:40 p.m. ET. The Tigers will play their first game of the season against the San Diego Padres at Petco Park in San Diego on March 26 at 4:10 p.m. ET.
Seven of the 12 Tigers April home games have a 1:10 or a 1:40 start, giving Tigers fans plenty of opportunities to soak up some sun — should it come out on those days, that is.

Detroit fans enjoyed plenty of sunshine in the team’s 2025 home opener at Comerica Park, which ended in a 7-4 win over the Chicago White Sox. This will be the fourth-straight year the Tigers begin their regular season on the road.
The Tigers finished 87-75 in 2025, good for second place in the American League Central after spending most of the year in first place. The Tigers then beat the first-place Cleveland Guardians in the wild-card round before falling in five games to the Seattle Mariners in the division series, ending their World Series hopes.Need a news break?
