Dylan Dreyer, beloved Today Show meteorologist and co-anchor of the program’s Third Hour, recently opened up to The U.S. Sun about her most unforgettable celebrity encounters, her deep affection for her colleagues, and the exciting personal projects shaping her life off-camera. Speaking while participating as a celebrity guest at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, Dylan shared stories that reveal both her down-to-earth charm and the surprising moments that have stayed with her throughout her career.
Reflecting on the challenge of meeting stars she has long admired, Dylan admitted that she’s often nervous before interviewing Hollywood heavyweights. One such moment involved Bryan Cranston, whom she expected might be standoffish due to his superstar status. Instead, she was stunned to discover he was “the kindest, nicest person,” arriving at the studio with no entourage and immediately putting everyone at ease. Another treasured memory involved Tom Hanks. Pregnant with her first child at the time, Dylan described shaking with nerves when Hanks approached her—only to be met with warmth, curiosity, and a moment caught on camera that she still cherishes: Hanks excitedly lifting his arms as she cradled her belly.

But her admiration extends beyond celebrity guests—Dylan spoke just as passionately about her Today co-hosts. She praised Al Roker, Craig Melvin, Hoda Kotb, and Sheinelle Jones for creating a work environment grounded in genuine friendship and mutual support. She emphasized that their chemistry comes from helping one another “shine” on air, and she hopes to stay with the show “as long as they’ll have me.”
In addition to her broadcasting career, Dylan’s passion for golf continues to play a major role in her life. She participated once again in the Tournament of Champions—an event she enjoys alongside her husband, Brian Fichera, who introduced her to the sport early in their relationship. Despite finishing last, Dylan celebrated her improvement from the previous year and shared lighthearted updates from the course, including photos with fellow competitors.

Beyond TV and golf, Dylan remains committed to nurturing young readers through her children’s book series, Misty the Cloud. She revealed that the newest installment will arrive on February 20, with two additional picture books scheduled for release in the following year. Inspired by her meteorology background and her desire to help children overcome common fears—such as thunderstorms—the series aims to make weather both engaging and comforting for young minds. One upcoming book centers around the idea of “a peek out a baby’s window,” helping little ones understand the world outside in a gentle, imaginative way.
With a thriving career, a devoted fan base, a growing literary franchise, and a happy family life with her husband and three sons, Dylan Dreyer continues to resonate with viewers—both on and off the screen—through her warmth, humility, and unmistakable joy in everything she does.
