While the world was glued to the ice in Milan, one of America’s most famous couples was locked in too — yelling at the TV before most people had finished their morning coffee.
And yes, they watched every second of it.
Travis Kelce Reveals He and Taylor Swift Watched the Entire Olympic Hockey Thriller — and He “Exploded” at the Golden Goal
Travis Kelce wasn’t on the field this time — but make no mistake, he was still living every second of the action.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 36, revealed on the Feb. 25 episode of New Heights that he and fiancée Taylor Swift were fully dialed in for Team USA’s electrifying 2–1 overtime victory over Canada in the 2026 Winter Olympics on Feb. 22.
“Me and Tay watched the entire game, man,” Travis said, recalling the early 8 a.m. ET puck drop. And he meant entire.
From the first faceoff to the final overtime dagger, Kelce said he was completely locked in. “It’s just so f—ing epic, man. From the first drop of the puck, that game was nonstop action and had me at the edge of my seat. Loved every bit of it.”
This wasn’t just another win. It was history.
The U.S. men’s hockey team captured Olympic gold for the first time since the legendary 1980 “Miracle on Ice.” For a country that has waited decades to reclaim that moment, the payoff was seismic.
And when Jack Hughes, 24, delivered the overtime “golden goal” — slipping the puck between Canadian goalie Jordan Binnington’s legs — Kelce says he lost it.

“I just f—ing exploded,” he admitted.
Toothless Hero, Instant Icon
As if the goal itself wasn’t cinematic enough, Hughes had already taken a brutal hit earlier in the game, losing a front tooth after being struck by Canadian player Sam Bennett’s stick.
Travis couldn’t help but notice.
“Golly. It looked like he had lost that tooth once or twice before,” he joked, marveling at the toughness on display.
The moment instantly became part of Olympic lore: overtime tension, missing tooth, sudden victory. The kind of grit-and-glory story that turns athletes into legends overnight.
Hockey Takes Center Stage — Even in the Kelce Household
Travis and his brother Jason Kelce, 38, both rocked Team USA hockey jerseys on the podcast, still buzzing from the win. Jason, who attended the semifinal game in person, didn’t hold back either.

“There is just something about hockey,” Jason said. “Whether it’s playoff hockey or national hockey. When guys are going all out, it’s just the most fun sport to watch on the planet.”
Travis agreed, still stunned by the speed and synchronicity of the play.
“The puck was moving so goddam quick,” he said. “There were a few passes where I was just like, ‘How did he even know the guy was over there?’”
And despite the fierce rivalry, Travis made sure to salute Canada as well.
“Shout out to Canada too, man. Obviously, that team is so stacked.”
Respect where it’s due — but gold is gold.

Double Gold, Double Pride
The men weren’t the only ones bringing glory home.
Just three days earlier, the U.S. women’s hockey team also defeated Canada 2–1 to claim Olympic gold, solidifying what Jason boldly declared on the podcast:
“Hockey capital of the world! Men’s and women’s. Gold medal. Best country on the planet in hockey. I don’t want to hear any arguments.”
The Kelce family has been deeply invested in Team USA’s Olympic run. Jason and his wife, Kylie Kelce, were spotted at Milan’s Santagiulia Ice Hockey Arena on Feb. 16, cheering the women’s team to a dominant 5–0 semifinal victory over Sweden.
Meanwhile, Travis and Jason even donated to help U.S. star Laila Edwards fly her entire family out to Milan so they could watch her compete — a gesture that quietly underscored how personal this Olympic run felt for them.
Swift + Kelce + Olympic Glory

For fans, the image is irresistible: Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, side by side at 8 a.m., watching one of the most intense hockey games in Olympic history unfold in real time.
It’s not a red carpet moment. Not a stadium appearance. Just two people glued to a TV, riding the emotional rollercoaster of national pride.
And when that puck hit the back of the net in overtime?
Travis exploded.
America celebrated.

And somewhere, history quietly repeated itself — this time with a pop icon and an NFL star watching from the couch.
