Struggling with what to wear to Thanksgiving this year?
Take a cue from Melania Trump, who kicked off the holiday festivities this morning with a bunch of turkeys on the patio of the Rose Garden.
The first lady stepped out in head-to-toe brown for the annual White House turkey pardoning event. She paired a brown knit turtleneck with a tweed pencil skirt by Ralph Lauren and a shiny bomber jacket by LA-based Danish designer, Anine Bing.

The “Top Gun” style jacket was similar to the leather version she wore last month while visiting Naval Station Norfolk in Norfolk, Va., as part of a Salute to the Fleet celebration.
Today, her honey blond highlights offered a bright contrast to the dark hues, while a pair of brown leather Manolo Blahnik heels completed the tonal look.
This marked the country’s 78th annual National Thanksgiving Turkey Presentation; it is also Trump’s fifth time pardoning a pair of turkeys, sparing two lucky birds from Thursday night’s upcoming feast.
In previous years, the first lady has donned elevated outerwear for the event, including a floral brocade Stella McCartney coat in 2017, and a $9K color color-blocked Dior coat with black Christian Louboutin boots in 2018.

She wore a brown Burberry trench for the 2019 ceremony, and a Dolce & Gabbana houndstooth wool tweed coat with cap-toe brown and black Manolo Blahnik heels in 2020.
Today, President Trump pardoned a turkey named Gobble. His companion, Waddle, was unable to attend.
This evening, the Trumps will board Air Force One and set off to Mar-a-Lago to celebrate Thanksgiving with their extended family.
