A heartfelt handwritten letter from Taylor Swift to Liam Payne from 2017 is going up for auction in December.
In the sweet note â âdated 12.1.17â â Swift told Payne she was “always cheering” him on with his solo career.

The letter is up for auction on Dec. 2 with Omega Auctions. The item is valued at ÂŁ5,000-10,000 (around $6,500-$13,150) per the lot on the auctioneer’s website.
According to the description, the note was given to the One Direction star ahead of their respective performances at that yearâs Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball at Londonâs O2 Arena. Swift and Payne performed at the concert on Dec. 10, 2017.

The letter reads: âLiam, Long time no see! Iâm so excited for you, youâre crushing it out there. Iâm obsessed with âBedroom Floor.â Itâs so cool to see you from afar, Iâm always cheering you on. Good luck tonight!â
It was signed off with Swiftâs signature and came in an envelope with âLiamâ and stars on the front that was sealed with a personalized âTâ wax seal.

Payne released his single âBedroom Floorâ in October of that year, with the track following his debut solo single âStrip That Downâ after the band’s indefinite hiatus in 2016.
The note was gifted by Payne to a âclose associateâ shortly after he received it, per the description on the auctioneerâs website.
This auction comes shortly after the first anniversary of the British singer’s death.
He died on Oct. 16, 2024 after falling from his hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Payne suffered multiple traumas that led to internal and external bleeding, the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutorâs Office told Page Six of its preliminary autopsy report.
