Is he cruisin’ for a new crush?
Tom Cruise was spotted laughing it up with Sydney Sweeney just weeks after his breakup with Ana de Armas.
The “Top Gun: Maverick” star, 63, and Sweeney, 28, engaged in a playful exchange while attending the 2025 Governors Awards in Los Angeles Sunday, according to an Instagram video posted by Variety.

In the clip, Sweeney and Cruise can be seen standing with a group of friends as a band plays jazzy music in the background.
At one point, Sweeney tells Cruise that she has “never driven a boat” before adding, “I don’t want to.”
They may have been chatting about how Cruise films his own stunts, like when he dangled from an airplane and jumped off a building. Meanwhile, Sweeney put on 35 pounds while training for her role as boxer Christy Martin in her new film, “Christy.”
The “Euphoria” actress appeared smiley as the conversation flowed, and they were clearly enjoying each other’s company.

Sweeney looked elegant in a silver sequin off-the-shoulder gown by Miu Miu with a sweetheart neckline and long draping down the back. She also sparkled in earrings by Dena Kemp.
Cruise looked dapper in a classic black tuxedo with a bow-tie.
Elsewhere in the night, the “Mission Impossible” actor accepted an Academy Honorary Award and delivered an emotional speech to a sea of Hollywood stars.
“The cinema, it takes me around the world,” Cruise said. “It helps me to appreciate and respect differences. It shows me also our shared humanity, how alike we are in so, so many ways.”

“And no matter where we come from, in that theater, we laugh together, we feel together, we hope together, and that is the power of this art form,” he continued. “And that is why it matters, that is why it matters to me. So making films is not what I do, it is who I am.”
Cruise is fresh off his breakup from the “Knives Out” actress. Last month, sources claimed that Cruise and de Armas, 37, called things off after no longer feeling a “spark.”
“The spark had gone between them but they still love each other’s company and they’ve both been really adult about it,” a source told the Sun at the time.
However, they apparently ended on good terms and remain friends.

“Tom and Ana had a good time together but their time as a couple has run its course,” the source said. “They are going to remain good friends but they aren’t dating anymore.”
He and the “No Time To Die” star were first romantically linked in February when they were spotted on a Valentine’s Day date in London. They continued to spur relationship rumors after being seen on several romantic getaways — though they never publicly spoke about their love.
Sweeney, for her part, has been seeing Scooter Braun since ending her seven-year relationship with fiancé Jonathan Davino earlier this year.
