Famed broadcaster journalist David Muir had to, once again, share concerning news with his ABC World News Tonight viewers, leaving fans ‘praying’ to God for help
ABC viewers have revealed their upset on social media after David Muir shared a tragic breaking news update on his World News Tonight show.

Speaking on December 10, David told viewers that there had been a collision in Anaheim, California, during which eight children were struck by a vehicle, and some of them needing to be taken to hospital. Sharing video footage of the aftermath, the 52-year-old said, “Tonight, there are late images coming in. Authorities say a high school running team, struck by a driver, possibly under the influence, in Anaheim, California.”
Continuing, the famed broadcaster added, “Police say at least eight people wereĀ hit, multiple victims rushed to the hospital. Authorities say the team was waiting at an intersection at Harbor Boulevard and West North Street. No word on the injuries.”

The video shared by David shows an orange car that has mounted the curb and appears to have crashed into a wall, with its airbags seemingly deployed. Emergency service vehicles, such as fire trucks and ambulances, can be seen at the scene as first responders survey the debris, which is strewn across the road.
One person can also be seen being stretchered by paramedics, while wearing what appears to be a neck brace. There is no word on whether that person is one of the students or the alleged driver.
The age of the children affected is said to be from freshmen to seniors, with three of the injured persons being rushed to the hospital and five others being treated at the scene before also being taken to the hospital.

The crash occurred on Wednesday, December 10, at approximately 3pm. Police have arrested the suspected driver and have described him as a 27-year-old man. He has been hospitalized, and his condition is unknown.
However, the suspect has not yet been named, and the Orange County Police Department hasn’t confirmed which charges he could face. The investigation is still ongoing.
Viewers of ABC’s World News Tonight took to social media to share their upset and concern for the students, with many sending prayers.

On Instagram, one worried person wrote, “Sending prayers for all that were injured in this tragedy. Oh Lord, hear our prayers of healing for them all,” with a prayer emoji, as a second person begged, “Please dear lord, please. I know they have to stay on tracks. You cannot trust streets.”
“So devastating! Hope all the kids are stable,” penned a third. At the same time, a fourth person chimed in to share their experience of being in a collision, “What a tragedy, hopefully they come out okay. Got to be vigilant folks, no earpods, always looking, never trust any approaching vehicle, never be blind to what’s going around. I learned this the hard way from riding motorcycles and bicycles.”
