Kelsey Plum is trying to move on—but her skin keeps reminding her of the past. The Las Vegas Aces star recently admitted she’s still working to get her tattoo of former husband Darren Waller removed. The two quietly married in 2023 and split after just one year.
“Girl, yeah, I got married and divorced, still trying to get it removed,” Plum shared during an appearance on “The Shop,” referencing the ink dedicated to the NFL tight end. Though she’s kept most details of the breakup private, her comments are the clearest hint yet that the separation wasn’t exactly on the cleanest of terms.

She also reflected on her WNBA rookie year, telling a wild story involving basketball icon Diana Taurasi. “My rookie year, I was so excited. She was like, ‘Plummy, how’s the fam?’ It was a dead ball, and I was like, ‘She is asking about my family?’” Kelsey Plum recalled. “Ball gets checked in, nails me in the gut, steps on my foot, like stomps it, comes off the pin, drops a three, blows me a kiss.” Welcome to the league.

Kelsey Plum has grown and matured both personally and professionally. The tattoo is now just another remnant of who she was. But that shouldn’t be her only scar that reminds us of who she was.
Kelsey Plum reflects on a “powerful moment” during All-Star weekend while slipping in a subtle dig at Team Clark.
Viral moments don’t steer too far off of people making headlines; they tend to follow and pop up from time to time. Well, Kelsey Plum may have gotten beyond making headlines by being the center of another viral moment. An emotional tribute with a subtle flavor of the side-eye during the WNBA All-Star weekend.
“It was a very powerful moment. As players, we didn’t know that that was going to happen. It was a genuine surprise,” Kelsey Plum said of the “Pay Us” t-shirts worn by Team WNBA in a show of support for league-wide compensation reforms. The gesture wasn’t just symbolic—it was planned the morning of the event, catching many fans and even players off guard.

And then came the subtle dig: “Not to tattletale: 0 members of Team Clark were very present for that,” she added. While Plum didn’t name names, it was clear she was pointing out who didn’t join the statement, making things awkward in a weekend meant to highlight unity.

The moment, for Kelsey Plum, was about impact.
