President Trump on Friday raged that newly indicted James Comey will have his case handled by a “Crooked Joe Biden appointed Judge” — insisting that the “dirty cop” ex-FBI director must pay “a very big price.”
Comey, 64, was indicted by a federal grand jury on Thursday for allegedly lying to Congress in connection with the nearly decade-old Russiagate probe, with his case assigned to Biden-appointed District Judge Michael Nachmanoff.
“Whether you like Corrupt James Comey or not, and I can’t imagine too many people liking him, HE LIED! It is not a complex lie, it’s a very simple, but IMPORTANT one,” Trump seethed in an early Truth Social post.

“There is no way he can explain his way out of it. He is a Dirty Cop, and always has been, but he was just assigned a Crooked Joe Biden-appointed Judge, so he’s off to a very good start.”
Trump was adamant that Comey, who is accused of making false statements during his Sept. 30, 2020, congressional testimony amid the Trump-Russia collusion investigation, would be held accountable.
“He left himself ZERO margin of error on a big and important answer to a question. He just got unexpectedly caught. James ‘Dirty Cop’ Comey was a destroyer of lives,” Trump said.
“He knew exactly what he was saying, and that it was a very serious and far-reaching lie for which a very big price must be paid!”

The indictment against him hinges on an exchange he had with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) during which he denied authorizing leaks to media outlets related to the probe.
Comey — who served as FBI director from 2013 until Trump fired him in 2017 — was expected to surrender early Friday.
FBI Director Kash Patel on Friday ripped critics who had accused the DOJ of being weaponized and only going after Comey because Trump regards him as a political enemy.

“Career FBI agents, intel analysts, and staff led the investigation into Comey and others. They called the balls and strikes and will continue to do so,” Patel said in a statement on X.
“The wildly false accusations attacking this FBI for the politicization of law enforcement comes from the same bankrupt media that sold the world on Russia Gate – it’s hypocrisy on steroids. Their baseless objections tell us now, more than ever, that we are precisely over the target and will remain on mission until completion.”
Meanwhile, in the wake of the indictment, Comey said his “heart is broken” for the Justice Department but stressed that he was “innocent.”

“My family and I have known for years that there are costs to standing up to Donald Trump, but we couldn’t imagine ourselves living any other way,” he said in a video statement.
“We will not live on our knees, and you shouldn’t either.”
“My heart is broken for the Department of Justice, but I have great confidence in the federal judicial system, and I’m innocent, so let’s have a trial and keep the faith,” he added.
