Hilaria Baldwin revealed that she and husband Alec Baldwin have sought the help of a therapist to navigate their steep age gap.
âI donât believe that age is just a number, at least in our situation,â the yoga instructor, 41, told Caroline Stanbury during Wednesdayâs episode of the âUncut and Uncensoredâ podcast.
âThere are certain things where I have to look at him and say, âHe has 26 more years of experience,’â she added of the â30 Rockâ star, 67.
âAnd sometimes thatâs a flex, and sometimes that means that we need to do a little therapy.â

Page Six has reached out to Alecâs rep for comment.
Alec and the social media influencer married in 2012 and have since welcomed seven children â and their sizable age gap isnât the only hurdle theyâve faced since tying the knot.
The âBaldwinsâ starâs challenges have included a pair of miscarriages, the accidental 2021 shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his movie âRust,â and accusations that Hilaria faked a Spanish heritage and appropriated an accent â which she has denied, calling the accent ânatural.â
When discussing how they ended up with seven young children â whose ages range from 2 to 12 â Hilaria also addressed Alecâs previous marriage to Oscar winner Kim Basinger, to whom he was married from 1993 to 2002.

âHe had the very notorious, complicated situation with his previous wife and with Ireland,â she said of the actorâs 30-year-old daughter with Basinger, 71.
âI think he wanted a chance to do it in a different way and make different choices.â
Though Hilaria said their large family was âvery well thought out,â she did confess to having the typical âhard momentsâ that can lead to time in a therapistâs office.
âDo we have our normal, marital arguments? One hundred percent,â she shared. âBut itâs the desire to both want to be there and to both want to make it work. When you have that, I think you can go through anything together.â

The mom of seven also divulged that sheâd experienced a loss of identity after marrying the iconic âBeetlejuiceâ star.
âI think in many ways, I did lose part of my identity when I married Alec,â she explained, addressing the pressure of âother people talking about me for the first time on a very massive level.â
âI posted this on my [Instagram] Stories, this woman said, âYou need to be able to really articulate and know what your identity is, because otherwise youâre going to just get it from other people because everybodyâs going to have an opinion,’â she recalled.
âAnd this is not a famous person whoâs saying this. Weâre all the same, regardless if weâre famous, not famous, whatever. Weâre all flesh and blood.â

Hilaria â who was voted off âDancing With the Starsâ last month â shared that sheâs come to âknowâ herself amid her high-profile marriage.
âI havenât been as clear as I should have been with myself about my identity,â she said in part.
âPeople can say this or that. I cannot stop them,â she added.
âBut I can know myself in a way that hopefully it wonât give me that nauseous pit in my stomach that Iâve experienced so many times.â
